Arbalest Militia companies are armed with a later, more easily manufactured version of the heavy composite crossbow.
Arbalest militia companies are formed to protect settlements. Being able to train cityfolk quickly in the use of the arbalest allows these companies to be garrisoned frequently and the stopping power of the arbalest can make their withering fire lethal.
