The Pechenegs are a rather weak cavalry who cannot stand, one on one, against any professional soldiers.
A long time ago all the steppes belonged to the Pechenegs. They were subjugated, however, after a long and bloody conflict with the Cumans. They now serve the Cuman Khagan as poorly armed mercenaries or, indeed, indentured men.
