The Khassaki are the Caliph's own elite soldiers. Given the best horses and equipment, the Khassaki are fiercely loyal and are the only soldiers allowed to carry weapons at all times. Besides ceremonial duties these hardened warriors are charged with protecting the Caliph, as well as often taking on the most important missions or tasks within the Caliph's army.
