The Al-Haqa are made up of Egyptians and Arabs, as well as the sons of Mamluks. Egyptians and Arabs are not permitted to become Mamluks, while the sons of Mamluks are considered second class, as they were not born on the Steppes as "true Turks". Nevertheless the Al-Haqa are important soldiers, often in service to their Amir alongside the Mamluks.
