Effective gunpowder cavalry, Pistoliers are armed with brace of long wheellock pistols and a sword, and protected by heavy armour.
Pistoliers are armed with a pistol and a sword, and well protected by plate armour. They first appeared in the German states, where they were known as Reiters (riders). After the enemy are softened up by close-range pistol fire, they charge in and finish them off the old fashioned way.
